We finish September and start October under the influence of a Libra New Moon. The New Moon occurs on Friday, September 30th at 8:11pm in the eighth degree of Libra. Balance is the issue... that and fairness, justice and equality, as well as beauty, grace and refinement. Everyone knows of airy Libra's association with relating and relationships. The key to flowing into right relationship in all your associations involves finding the balance.
This New Moon, meaning the conjunction of the Sun and Moon, aligns with ebullient Jupiter in Libra as well, expanding opportunity to put our relationships into balance, whether personal, social or professional. Jupiter has a tendency to make everything larger than life and in Libra, we need to be aware of great swings in any direction. Maintaining equilibrium is the path to success in the month ahead. So, while good things can come in, so can difficult ones and avoiding extremes, all-or-nothing scenarios or getting too high or too low, will see you through to the good times.
Relating includes communication, taking turns and listening. Awareness and acceptance precede action and the next few weeks brings optimism from Jupiter, to this alignment of the Sun and Moon in Libra. If you look for it and are prepared for a chance to move ahead in your relationship, this could be the beginning of a beautiful phase of partnership. Be forward thinking and remember that relationships are a two-way street; it isn't up to you to do all the work. Let the beauty and sensitivity of Libra shine on you!
Also in the mix for this New Moon chart, is a challenging aspect from Mars in Cardinal Earth, (Capricorn) to the Sun and Moon in Cardinal Air, (Libra). Cardinal signs like to take action, they begin things and this alignment is pressing us to break out of stuck thoughts, associations or agreements and apply new energy to making something happen for the better. Mars spent a lot of time in Sagittarius, thanks to a retrograde cycle... and had from early March until just a few days ago, to do his homework, research and exploration of the road ahead. In Capricorn for a little over 6 weeks, Mars is happy to be building new foundations, especially in business and career, so that he may now put his plans for the future into action!
A reminder... the biggest and most important relationship to get right, is the one between your ego self and your Higher Self. Do that first and the others start to fall into place. In the meantime, rock the boat if it needs rocking and if it doesn't, try to keep things on an even keel. And while you're at it, remember to keep your head in the stars and your feet on the ground... that's a balance in and of itself~

Full Harvest Moon in Pisces & Lunar Eclipse
Welcome to September's second eclipse, shedding Light on all our connections, bringing up compassion for others, including animals and the oceans! As the last eclipse of 2016 comes to fruition, it also wraps up some of our projects or relationships that are timely to end. This eclipse season, beginning with the New Moon in Virgo two weeks ago, has been about endings for new beginnings. Just do not do it all today! Take the time today to review what attitudes, habits or worries you have been weeding out and are now ready to put in the rear view mirror.
Pisces is the last sign of the Zodiac and a Water sign. Compassion, understanding and emotional connections are the keywords to remember here. Water flows in and around everything. Our bodies are mostly made up of water and our planet/our home is covered with water. How are you taking care of yourself and your home? Have you looked the other way when humanity has cried out in boatloads of human beings crossing oceans to escape inhuman conditions? Perhaps you can only cope through alcohol or drugs or have family or friends who do and have gone into a place of utter despair.
Just as water connects us all, so do our thoughts and feelings. Do your best to send out healing thoughts and prayers to others in need, even the ones who oppose you, especially them. Prayer and intention will guide you into much calmer waters than hate and spite. Rid yourself of the negative emotions that will only toss you onto the rocky shores of mistrust and hate. Remember two weeks ago at the New Moon in Virgo when I said to be discerning and let go of stuff? Well, it's time for a check of how well you're doing with that!
In the Full Moon chart, we see more challenges than opportunities. This is due to a T-square between Mars and the Sun/Moon opposition in Virgo/Pisces. Mars is currently in Sagittarius chasing after his goals and unafraid of butting heads with those in his way. This interplay of the planets in Mutable signs calls for careful handling and restraint. Also, remember that Mercury is still retrograde until the 22nd, so nothing is yet written in stone. While giant Jupiter has moved into Cardinal Libra, he is still in close proximity to the Sun in Virgo and doesn't need much prompting to blow things all out of proportion. The full impact of this alignments plays out overnight, so don't try to tip the scales in your favor or you may find you've bitten off more than you can chew!
In the meantime, remember to keep your head in the stars and your feet on the ground.
Oh, I'll be enjoying the Full Harvest Moon out at the Island Fair this weekend. Maybe I'll see some of you there!
