Sunday's Full Moon occurs at 28 degrees of Libra, meaning it is opposed to the Sun at 28 Aries. Some people are having bigger wake-up calls than others and we need to allow them the space to deal with their changes in ways that support forward movement and growth, as opposed to slipping backwards! Mercury Retrograde & Pluto Retrograde... Reconsideration and Renewal & Disintegration for Rebirth
With the furthest planet out on the edge of our solar system, Pluto, and the closest planet to the Sun, Mercury, both slowed down and in reverse mode, we have an interesting set of circumstances to understand and work with. Both planets retrograde every year. Mercury, because it has a shorter orbit, retrogrades several times for shorter periods, while Pluto appears to change direction for several months. Mercury represents the mind and has to do reasoning, the intellect, versatility and how we interact in relating to others, as well as having rulership over those machines that get us in contact with others. Pluto has planetary control over death, decay, transformation and rebirth and can indicate what our desire natures obsess over, what we need to eliminate and where we will undergo a healing crisis of some sort.
Pluto went stationary retrograde on Saturday, April 9th at seven degrees, thirty minutes in the zodiac sign of Capricorn and will continue moving, s-l-o-w-l-y back to four degrees, fifty-three minutes when it stops to turn stationary direct on September 16th. It will take until sometime in January 2012 for Pluto to get all the way back to where he went retrograde Saturday - that's how slowly things move way out at the edge of our solar sytem!
Mercury, affecting communication and interaction of speech, agreements and moving parts, moves so quickly it jumps ahead of the earth as it races around the Sun, appearing to go in backward motion, or retrograde, three or four times per year, most recently on March 31st. Many people have heard of Mercury retrograde because of having to deal with life's daily snafus while the "Messenger of The Gods" is turned around! Perhaps fewer of you have stopped to consider the affect Pluto has in moving slowly through the signs of the zodiac, particularly in retrgrade motion. We are affected personally by Pluto's energy in a sometimes subtle, or more "everyone's in the same boat" kind of mode when BIG changes are afoot beyond our control and we wonder... who's really in charge here...?!
The reason I am discussing these two very different planetary energies together is this: besides both being retrograde right now, which makes us feel like we don't have any control... I want you to consider where you do have control in your life! A month ago, I shared a poem by Ella Wheeler Wilcox, Words Are Like Arrows, that has influenced me greatly in my adult life and has Mercury written all over it. While Mercury is retrograde, it is wise to review your agreements with people, possibly re-negotiating, but not entering into new agreements or contracts at this time.
Pluto is powerful, often hidden energy that operates beneath the surface until such time as it is triggered by something and we see what has really been going on. Wherever you have Pluto in your natal chart shows where your personal transformation can take place, where you can try to harness this powerful energy! Ask yourself, what is my desire nature showing me I need to change, let go of or where I need to re-build in my life in order to feel secure? While he wends his way through corporate Capricorn for the next 15 years, Pluto will bring upheaval in his wake to structures that need to change because they're not working; for the United States, that's in the area of government and finances. It isn't working, it needs to change and so... things are breaking down to be re-built at some future time. This "Lord of The Underworld", Pluto, will be aspected many times by stressful squares and oppositions from other planets, bringing opportunities for elimination and rebirth. Consider the necessity of chaos for order to come through - unless things become unmanageable, we don't often change willingly...
One planetary trigger comes tomorrow from Mars, as the ultimate planet of struggle in it's own energetic sign of Aries, blocks Pluto the same day as the First Quarter Moon indicates a need for overcoming obstacles. Also, that Sun/Moon square at 8:05 a.m. begins a long (all day...) void-of-course Moon period, in which it's best NOT to start anything new. Talk about pushing buttons... try not to re-act, bite your tongue instead, clear up old business and ask yourself where you want the energy to go and wait until Tuesday for the active Leo Moon to help you sort things out and start new projects for successful gains!

Do research on whatever you're thinking about starting up and spend time in introspection, meditation and journal writing . As you communicate more with yourself and get to know yourself better, the craziness out in the world can't throw you into despair, unless you let it! Meanwhile, focus on your own goals and how to achieve them by putting one foot in front of the other and working with the resources you have available to you now. There's a saying from the time of the Blitz... "Keep calm and carry on..." It applies now!

Aries New Moon & Feeling Like A Rocketman... Plus Mercury Rx and Neptune Into Pisces...
Today brings yet another indication of the count down to lift-off, signaling it's time to go, as Luna moves to join the Sun at fourteen degrees of Aries for the first New Moon of the astrological year. Everybody's chomping at the bit to get going...to move... to just do something different... and now... you can! However, there are some things for you to consider before you take off... please read the following and be aware of all the implications while deciding your course of action in the month ahead.
The Arian energy is STRONG for bringing courage, restlessness and impatience at any Aries New Moon, but particularly so this Spring. There are some rocket boosters to take into account before blasting off. The Sun and Moon get an assist from Mars' entry into Aries yesterday, the sign he rules and that would be booster number one. Booster number two is the fact that both Jupiter and Uranus are already in this fiery territory and will be conjoined throughout the month ahead by Sun, Moon and Mars at different points.
Here are some things for you to consider: Mars is aggressive, daring and energetic and if you need this to move you forward, great! Jupiter is optimistic, expansive and desires a broader view of the whole world for the purpose of growth. Uranus is extreme and unexpected energy that overturns old stuck patterns and replaces them with something new. Combine any of these vibrational forces and you can see there is a likelihood for sweeping change that happens quickly and without warning. We have seen a partial combination of these energies out in the world since Uranus joined Jupiter in Aries earlier in March with many revolts and protests in oppressed places where the people don't feel heard or honored by their leaders. Where do you want, or need, to make a BIG change in your life.. is it self-identity, relationship, job, or where you live? Let's play... Mars + Jupiter + Uranus in Fire (Aries) = Aggressive, extensive, extreme change lit by the forceful spark of Aries to bring a new start that is nothing like the status quo. Another example might be: Courage + Opportunity + Innovation = a New Beginning! Yet another... Self-will + Extravagance + Freedom = It's All About Me... Now, if you don't like any one combination, remember, you have free will on how to use the above energies!! Mix them up and see what works for you. The whole idea is to use what you need to make necessary changes without burning your bridges or burning yourself out.
Here is where I say "Danger Will Robinson..." or "watch where you're stepping!" There is so much forward energy right now and with Aries ruling the head, one could experience headaches, bumping their head on door frames, or up against a brick wall... or just really ticking others off with all the self-centered energy being flung about. The other thing to watch out for, is lighting too many fires and not having the energy to maintain them all or agreeing to things you can't possibly complete.

Mercury slowed down and turned around allows us the time-out to reconsider all our options, read the fine print and research the best course of action. This period started March 31st and runs through April 23rd, when Mercury moves into direct motion, staying in Aries until May 15th, which means you'll still have time to make new agreements, sign contracts and buy new phones, cars, computers, etc. during the first two weeks in May. For now, only agree to what you absolutely have to and after you've considered all your options, which are numerous in the weeks ahead!
Beautiful blue Neptune moves into it's home territory of Pisces tomorrow for a four-month preview of coming attractions, before settling in to the main event next February for 14 years. The outer planets turn retrograde every year for a few months and Neptune does this on June 3rd, allowing it to re-enter Aquarius on August 4th, where it will stay even as it goes direct on November 9th, for the rest of 2011, for a review of what we uncovered through technological advances during Neptune's passage in the detached, fixed sign of Aquarius. Tomorrow's preview shows Neptune in Pisces dissolving boundaries between people, nations and religions and connecting us to subtler realms of spirit, imagination, beauty and compassion. Neptune also rules the oceans, film, fog, dreams, spiritual guidance, deception, escapist tendencies and artistic creativity. Being out of touch with spiritual guidance can lead to denial and deceit, as in " you can fool some of the people some of the time..." " you're only kidding yourself..." "one lie begets another..." or "you can't fool Mother Nature..."! Which one (s) do you need to avoid?
Under the skin, we are all One. We all need air to breathe, food to eat and water to drink. Neptune's travels in Pisces will break down barriers to knowing this, once and for all. We will learn what true compassion and no limits really means... no limits to caring, compassion, sending out healing thoughts and loving energy to all beings on this watery planet we call home. Keep sending prayers and healing thoughts to the waters in Japan and all over the world, that they may be purified and continue to supply us with nourishment for our bodies that comes through the food and water we need. Always bless the water around you, the food you grow and what you eat and drink and maintain gratitude for having clean air, pure water and healthy food. These are the three things we need more than money in the bank, now and in the coming years. Times are getting tougher, not better, as some would have us believe.
