Welcome to the New Moon at 4 degrees of Capricorn and a Solar Eclipse that carries us into the new year. What a way to end a decade! This is a serious opportunity to work with the planetary energies and make headway toward our goals moving into 2020.
What familiar patterns that no longer serve you, have you been working on breaking and releasing once and for all? This is the time to focus on what you want and use the momentum of this eclipse cycle to make great strides forward. Getting what you want will require patience, persistence and fortitude. You'd better be sure you know what you really want, or at least be willingly to not repeat the past. Steadfast efforts will take time to reap rewards and there are no guarantees that there won't be set-backs. However, in the long run, there will be rewards.
There is a restless energy about this New Moon that includes potential surprises, unforeseen changes and unique possibilities. If you've been feeling ready for a change or anticipating a transition, the time is now! Set your intentions and be clear about anything that is on its way out. Look for an opportunity to arise.
While keeping your antenna up, remember to keep your head in the stars and your feet on the ground.

Gemini Full Moon
The Full Moon culminates in Gemini on December 12th at 12:12am. The opposition of the Moon in Gemini to the Sun in Sagittarius is the juxtaposition of adaptable Air to adaptable Fire, or... the inquisitive nature of restless Gemini to the more philosophical viewpoint of optimistic Sagittarius. Whatever your leanings are, this will be the time for expanding one's outlook through a more versatile, albeit... logical lens.
Besides shining a light on opposing points of view, this Full Moon is challenged by a hazy aspect to Neptune, also in a Mutable sign - Pisces, bringing confusion, or illusion into the mix. If you don't understand what someone is saying, asking or offering, get more information before you act out of empathy without knowing exactly what it is you are agreeing to.
An increased desire to make a difference in society can lead some to take actions that challenge the status quo. This need to enlighten others can be taken at personal risk, yet it may also be the thing that allows a door to open. Jupiter in Capricorn wants all the facts and is willing to work hard to learn them, while the Moon moving into Cancer many hours later, is more concerned with people's feelings and how to meet their needs.
Take turns listening and talking before being decisive, and remember while gathering your facts, to keep your head in the stars and your feet on the ground.
