Details, details, details... why not just take care of them and free yourself up to do other things you'd like when all the necessary tasks are out of the way?! The Moon is squarely in Virgo all day long, directly opposing the Sun at 1:20pm, the exact time of today's Full Moon. Other than this major alignment, things are relatively quiet, although we are set up for a bouncy ride tomorrow, hence the need to take care of details today.
There is an approaching lunar aspect to nebulous Neptune overnight that may lull you into a dreamlike state which can bring doubt, confusion or a sense of everything is alright, so there's nothing else I need to take care of right now. Be diligent in your to-do list today because that may be a false impression which blocks an important detail you forgot.
So, what does the Full Moon in Virgo reflect on? As Virgo is ruled by Mercury, it has to do with intellectual pursuits, especially when careful attention to detail is required. The tendency to be overly critical of yourself or others is really strong here, so keep good Virgo boundaries and just critique your own progress. No brow-beating allowed, just skill building and clearing up mistakes as you go!
Another focus is on diet and nutrition, which could involve cleaning out or restocking your herbs and spices, perhaps taking a good look at more natural foods for healthier digestion and therefore better overall well-being. There are books on healthy eating and cooking which can bolster your knowledge of practical applications in your own kitchen. If you're not a cook and eat out a lot, do some research on which food establishments provide organic alternatives and preservative-free dining. The closer to nature the better, and your digestive system will thank you for all the little changes you make now. Here's a link to a website where you can sign up for a healthy Newsletter which my friend Sheri Bishop, a Nutrition specialist in Vermont writes weekly: Striketrue
All week, the Sun in Pisces edges closer to his conjunction with Neptune on Sunday, the 28th. Allow yourself room to daydream, paint, dance, listen to inspiring music and connect with your inner divine self. Escapism is out, that is... avoid sticking your head in the sand and not taking care of business earlier in the week. Wednesday and Thursday are good days for finding harmony in relationships and beatifying your environment. Friday is a go-with-the-flow kind of day as the Libra Moon is void-of-course all day before moving into Scorpio early Saturday morning. There is more than a bit of mystery surrounding the end of the week.
In the meantime, remember to keep your head in the stars and your feet on the ground, as you listen to that small still voice within~

Aquarius New Moon
The energies surrounding this Aquarian New Moon can be quite dramatic for breaking old patterns or stirring the pot, which will you choose?! If you have planets at 19 degrees of the Fixed signs, within 5 degrees either side, you will feel the affects more strongly than most. The good news is that aspects to the Sun and Moon today support breaking old patterns while building new supportive ones for our dreams and our lives!
A lunar aspect to productive Saturn in fiery Sagittarius early this morning gave a helping hand to inspiring thoughts for new connections that can bring progress as we move into another month-long lunar cycle. Add in a similar contact with revolutionary Uranus and excitement built for thinking outside the box. Sudden change and rash action are a no-no, but if you have been thinking of what needs to change, the timing is right to begin the process of letting go and moving forward.
A challenging link-up from the Moon to aggressive Mars makes this a good day to think about much needed change. If it's past time to take drastic action, summon up your inner strength. However, if you're just ticked off about something, it won't help matters to force the issue. Wait to take any action until Wednesday when the universe is more supportive and while the Moon is in compassionate Pisces. We are in a long void-of-course Moon phase for the rest of today, lasting into early tomorrow morning. Avoid new starts for a couple of days.
Wednesday brings a very helpful connection when Venus and Jupiter form a flowing trine between pragmatic Capricorn and meticulous Virgo. This can manifest as a positive relationship built on trust, full of worth and value. As with any Venus/Jupiter connection, there is a caution not to overdo a good thing because it could backfire mid-afternoon.
The quiet of Thursday, even under an Aries Moon, could be the kind of cosmic weather you need to present a new idea or proposal. There are no significant aspects that day to stand in the way. Aries Moon is still in effect Friday with a mixed bag of aspects for change along with a caution not to go overboard or force-feed your ideas onto others.
For the most part, a Taurus Moon stabilizes things over the weekend with a very supportive alignment between Mars (energy and drive) and Jupiter (expansion) Saturday night. An opportunity may be presented that helps you better plan your steps to success, especially in business affairs. Take it easy on Sunday and avoid hurt feelings by being clear and not having unrealistice expectations of yourself or others.

Full Moon In Leo
The Full Moon tonight highlights your need to resolve an inner struggle between your will and your thoughts, your ego and your intellect, your need to be at the center of things and your ability to share your ingenuity with others. Lest you think there is anything more pressing for your creative expression than to provide your community, groups or friends with your original insights, think again! This is the only focus of the Sun in Aquarius and the Moon in Leo in this Full Moon chart.
We are provided with a challenge from Mercury to Uranus to capture any inventive, intuitive or inspired ideas and to make note of them. Just because there is so much going on on the mental plane, that doesn't mean we can afford to let any possibilities slip by unacknowledged without investigating their potential. An approaching aspect between Saturn (responsibility) and Uranus (awakening), a trine, brings the harmony necessary to blend these two energies.
Yes, Mercury is still retrograde until Monday, the 25th, but this Messenger of the Gods is in a crucial alignment with the transformer, Pluto at 15 degrees of Capricorn. Mercury was first conjunct Pluto on December 19, 2015 and yesterday, Jan. 22nd, retrograded back over the same degree, where it will once again contact Pluto in direct movement for the third time on Jan. 29th. What does this mean? You can get to the bottom of something with your detective abilities, your probing mind or just plain stick-to-itiveness! By applying mental elbow-grease you can turn around a situation that has been plaguing you for awhile and find your way to clean up the past and prepare for a rebirth.
Let the Leo Full Moon shine on your inner strengths as you share your hopes and dreams with the people closest to you. Follow through on what needs to be done and work hard to achieve your goals - it is doable if you believe in yourself! The expansiveness of Jupiter in Virgo sitting on the Lunar North Node will help in deciding what to keep, what to discard and how to polish your skills, as well as providing you with the path to whole health for body, mind and soul. Time to roll up your sleeves and get ready to put your plans into action in a couple of weeks.
Remember to keep your head in the stars and your feet on the ground!

Capricorn New Moon 2016
The Moon joins the Sun tonight at 19 degrees of Capricorn. This next lunar cycle is all about practical matters and taking care of business, whether it involves personal or career ambitions. The Cardinal earth sign is known for persevering and their ability to achieve their goals. Sometimes, the all-business, no-nonsense approach of the mountain goat gives the appearance of being too constricted. This is partly due to Saturn's influence as Capricorn's ruling planet.with it's tendency toward thriftiness of emotion, time and resources.
Use this New Moon energy to hone in on your goals and get things done. Mercury, having moved back into Capricorn by retrograde motion aligns with the Sun and Moon to play a supporting role in reviewing facts and figures. Take advantage of this time to do any needed research or revise the steps to succeeding on your chosen path. Mercury will turn direct on January 25th at 14 degrees of Capricorn and won't leave this sign until February 14th when it reenters Aquarius, allowing plenty of time to work on your goals.
Another assist comes from expansive Jupiter in the Mutable earth sign Virgo forming a harmonious trine to the Sun and Moon in this New Moon chart. Since Mercury rules Virgo, the practical organizing skills of this adaptable sign are increased under Jupiter's aptitude for increase and abundance! Look to your higher purpose and how to magnify the positive steps you've made as we begin another lunar cycle.
The planet Uranus plays an active role here bringing inventiveness and intuition into play as it supports individual freedoms and the right to express one's vision of the future. Uranus thinks outside the box, unlike Saturn which is keenly aware of limitations; in this case they are working together to move forward. Whatever practical steps you can take, however slowly it feels, keep your vision of what will give you freedom and independence clearly in mind. This is the month to set the groundwork for success!

Cancer Full Moon Christmas Day
Merry Christmas everyone and happy Full Moon in Cancer, the sign of home, family and nurturing! The renegade planet Uranus, turns to Direct motion as well; there may well be some Christmas magic afoot, so expect the unexpected. Weather patterns can be affected by the turnaround of this outer planet that acts independently, especially as it is interacting with Pluto.
Being the Cardinal Water sign, this Cancer Moon brings a full house of feelings to the table, feelings of love and acceptance and/or emotional instability. Try not to add to others' insecurity whether gathered together or not. Emotions will run deep around, whether it's different versions of the same family story, or a forgotten memory that comes to light, so resolve not to let things get to you! A feeling of stability and/or security is pervasive today. If you are working for the greater good, chances are you will have much to feel good about.
In the Full Moon chart, communicative and sociable Mercury in Capricorn harmonizes with ebullient Jupiter in Virgo. Practical planning and saying what you mean without belaboring the point or becoming too critical will serve you well. Make some pragmatic business decisions or start a well organized course of action toward your goals. This is also a good time to pay attention to dietary health... yes, I know it's the holidays... and one less cocktail or slice of pie could help you set up new habits.
Remember to keep your head in the stars and your feet on the ground as you are enlightened by your emotional needs today~

Winter Solstice 2015
Welcome to the Sun moving into Capricorn at 11:49 pm tonight, or, the Winter Solstice. This is the shortest day and the longest night of the year. As the days progress slowly toward the cross-quarter point of Candlemas, or Groundhog Day, the Light also increases, until day and night are of equal length at the Vernal Equinox. I always feel better knowing the Light is coming back, but first, we have to address the Sun at 00 degrees of Capricorn.
The Light of the World, The Christ, The Son/Sun in the Cardinal earth sign Capricorn brings attention to the necessity and responsibility of practical matters, resources, business and taking care of the body. Capricorn has ruler-ship over form and function and thus begins a time of increased effort to build solid foundations in these earthly realms.
Where does Capricorn fall in your birth chart? What do you need to do to achieve personal stability and security in the world? These are necessary questions to ask at the start of this month long passage of the Sun through Capricorn as it sets the stage for your success. Ask yourself what is your response-ability to those who rely on you, whether family, community or the bigger picture on the world stage.
What you begin now and work hard on will grow and increase your well being in the world. Take care of business, watch the daylight gradually increase and remember, Light always triumphs over darkness. See the Light, Be the Light and Spread the Light~

Scorpio New Moon
The Scorpio New Moon today allows us to plant seeds for new beginnings in relationships, both personal and financial. Scorpio's realm is joint resources and this can include banking, inheritances, mortgages or procreation. Anything that we invest in with others, that we feel passionate about, is under this Fixed Water sign's dominion. So when the Sun and Moon come together here, there's a whole lot of potential for co-creation!
Scorpio is an intense, moody and persistent energy... and that doesn't detract one little bit from the potential creativity brought to bear when the Sun is in this sign and is joined by the Moon. There's an expression, "it takes two to tango" and I think that describes the Scorpio new Moon to a T. The inner and the outer come together to create a vision of incredible power. This is energy that must be utilized to manifest your desired purpose. Write your wish list and start manifesting!
Mercury in Scorpio for deep communication, Jupiter in Virgo, expanding integrity, and Uranus in Aries, exploring new ideas, all play supporting roles in the New Moon chart by acting positively with the Sun/Moon alignment. The cautionary note here is a challenging square from Saturn in Sagittarius to Neptune in Pisces. Trust in your own ability to be practical and to develop your spiritual and artistic abilities and avoid succombing to self doubt.
The wild card in this creative soup is of course, Uranus, making tentative aspects to the Moon, Sun, Mercury and Jupiter. As long as you don't think things will stay the same with every step you've made in your joint projects, and you don't let fear or suspicion get the better of you, your progress ought to be steady. However, expect to make adjustments, because the only guarantee in this chart is change!
While navigating the emotional waters of shared desire under Scorpio's ruler-ship, remember to keep your head in the stars and your feet on the ground!
